Lisa Barnard was the Co-Founder and Original Director for Lightning Lacrosse. She brought a wealth of knowledge, experience and enthusiasm to the club, teams, players, coaches and families. It was Coach Lisa’s goal to start a club that would provide players the opportunity to reach their full potential. Before her passing in late 2020, she was able to see the club grow dramatically was very happy with the progress all of the players and teams were making on and off the field. The Lisa Barnard Memorial Scholarship was set up to honor one Female and one Male Lightning Lacrosse player who embodies three of the characteristics that Lisa believed in the most: 1) Leadership 2) Grit and 3) Enthusiasm.
